About Nasser

Nasser Aughoneim, Abu Sir, Giza, EgyptNasser is no ordinary Bedouin man. His story is quite unique for a man form his background. Nasser has an interesting and unique connection to the many western friends he has made over the years who have influenced his life and his thinking. Never the less he still lives a very traditional life. He follows Muslim and Community traditions. These traditions foster warmth and kindness held in a culture that is more a matriarchal than patriarchal, not obvious to the western eye. In this society the woman and family are the centre point for all that takes place. What is wonderful is if you ever have the pleasure to meet Nasser and stay in his guest house you will be treated to family life as you find it.  there is more to come . . . .

  1. When I first met Nasser he have come to pick me up from where I was staying to spend 3 days at his place. I arrived in Abu Sir in the afternoon by the time I sat under the stars with the whole family to eat dinner we had become old friends and it has been like that ever since. He is my Egyptian brother. I stay 2 weeks.

  2. My mother Kathleen loved Nasser dearly.
She traveled to Egypt many times to be with him and his family. Nasser I’d like to thank you for all that you did for her. You made her life meaningful. You gave her hope and love. For that I am thankful.
